Today is one of my favorite days. Not only is it October 13th, but it’s also a Full Moon! The combination of these two auspicious events is magical for me because 13 is my favorite number. The Full Moon can be an intense time, with the Sun’s masculine projective energy, and the Moon’s feminine receptive energy pulling at one another from complete opposite sides of the Earth. But, it is also a powerful opportunity to set intentions, let go of limiting beliefs, and manifest your dreams!
The number 13 is my favorite number.
It has been my favorite number for as long as I can remember, just like blue has been my favorite color for as long as I can remember. As a kid in school I can remember that it was a thing to ask your friends “Hey, what’s your favorite color?” like that would unlock some sort of next level friendship connection, and you two would move on to the next round, whatever that was. My first memory of answering that awkward question was nervously blurting out blue. I guess I thought I had to keep blue as my favorite color because blue was always my answer from then on. Before I knew it, it just jumped out, every time, “blue”. It has actually worked out for me though, because really and truly blue is still my favorite color. All shades of blue.
But 13 being my favorite number, that origin is more of a mystery. I can certainly imagine that the teenage rebellious me would have attached to the number 13 as a statement of defiance. That naive, young 13 year old girl would do anything to step outside the box. Most people regard 13 as a number not to be messed with, but not her. She would welcome that sort of disruption. I don’t know, maybe that’s how it all began…seems plausible that it would present at that age. But in recent years, it has been more of a subconscious calling to recognize the number 13. I find myself doing things like counting 13 steps when I’m walking, why? Counting 13 pumps of shampoo and conditioner in the shower, why? Choosing the number 13 font size when I am formatting a document, why? Weird right…or is it?
But in recent years, it has been more of a subconscious calling to recognize the number 13.
So, I did some digging, and what I have learned has blown my mind!
Especially considering the path I am on right now to strengthen my connection with source by raising my vibration. In the divine science of Numerology, it is believed that every number carries a specific vibrational meaning, and an Angel number is a sequence of numbers (like 1 and 3) that tend to show up in our lives repeatedly as a sign from your angels. When you have the number 13 show up, it is a reminder from your guardian angels to focus your thoughts on the positive aspects of your life, your connection to source energy, and the ascended masters. The number 13 is about our ability to manifest our desires by aligning with source energy. Holy what? I love it when all the fragments quantum leap into alignment so fast it makes your head spin! This sort of energetic high is way better than any drug.
But wait, it gets better. It’s also a Full Moon! More magic. When the moon is full it is 100% illuminated by the Sun, which is positioned on the opposite side of the earth. Wow! I mean, just stop and think about that for a second. The Sun is considered a masculine and projective energy, while the Moon is considered feminine and receptive (aka the energy of the Goddess). Lunar energy is well suited for interacting with the energy of our own intuition, which is also feminine, receptive and magnetic by nature. The Full Moon is an auspicious time to set intentions for breaking through limiting beliefs, and letting go of habits that are holding you back from manifesting your dreams! Let the magnetic energy of the Full Moon pull you in the direction you want to go.
Make a list of what you want to let go of and what you want to call in, and then ask for it! Asking the universe for what you want is like ordering food at a restaurant, the waiter has no idea what you want until you tell them. Let this Full Moon bring in a new version of you. Right now, write a mantra you will say to yourself every day to reinforce the energy of your intentions. Let it begin with “I am…”. Presently in my life I am actively connecting to the words “joy” and “courage”, so mine are “I am joy” and “I am courageous and I stand in my power”.
What are some of your intentions and limiting beliefs you’d like to let go of?
Love and Hugs,
P.S. As I finished writing this, I looked up for the time and my computer had 13% battery life left!
